To listen is to understand
A quiet learning space dedicated to helping adults understand children by listening before responding.
A quiet learning space dedicated to helping adults understand children by listening before responding.
CuriousLi is a Child Wellbeing and Learning Support initiative built on years of observing, listening to, and working closely with children, parents, and educators.
At CuriousLi, we believe:
• Behaviour is communication
• Children are meaning-makers, not problems to fix
• Listening is an active and intentional skill
Rather than offering quick solutions, CuriousLi encourages adults to pause, notice, and understand the deeper reasons behind children’s behaviour.
This space is gradually evolving into a platform for thoughtful parenting, reflective learning, and meaningful conversations.
You know ME emerged from years of listening to children — not to correct them, but to understand what their behaviours are trying to communicate.
Each chapter begins with a question from a child, such as:
• Why do I lie?
• Why do I fight with my friends?
• Why do I hate going to school?
The responses are written in the child’s voice, helping parents and teachers understand behaviour from within rather than reacting from outside.
This book is not a parenting manual.
It is a reflection guide for adults who wish to understand children more deeply.

Founder, CuriousLi
For several years, Mouli has been working closely with children, parents, and educators across different learning environments.
The work at CuriousLi focuses on understanding children as individuals rather than fitting them into rigid systems.
Through observation, conversation, and reflection, the effort continues to create safer, more understanding spaces for children to grow.
CuriousLi is growing into a long-term movement centred around what we call 'Social Parenting' — the idea that children grow best when families, educators, and communities work together with awareness and communication.
The aim is not to create perfect children, but to build emotionally safe spaces where children feel heard, understood, and supported.
Future initiatives will include:
• Listening circles
• Parent–teacher reflection sessions
• Workshops and guided conversations
• Reading and discussion spaces
These efforts will unfold gradually, with care and intention.
